Summary

Francisco Ruiz began his career as a comic book author and artist for companies like Marvel, Dark Horse, and DC Comics. His cinematic approach to his comics opened the door to animation projects, video games, and the film industry.
He debuted as a Director with the short film A Gentleman’s Duel from Blur studios. His short film won several awards, including a Bafta award.
He worked as a concept designer on blockbuster films like Hellboy II, The Hobbit, Pacific Rim, and Thor Ragnarok.
Francisco is currently working at Dreamworks Animation as part of the visual development team for the hit series “Trollhunters.” He also contributed as art director and series director for “3 Below” and the upcoming “Wizards” for Netflix.
